Parish Picnic TODAY July 19

Our Parish Picnic is here, at long last. This Saturday, July 19th, from 12noon to 4pm.

We’ll have food, games and fun on the front lawn, culminating with our 4:30 liturgy (weather permitting, we’ll worship outdoors). And, Little Boots Rodeo and Jack Groat will also provide some games and fun to share with one and all! St. Nicholas will supply the hot dogs and hamburgers. We ask volunteers and donors to bring side dishes, buns, snacks and some sweet treats, too.

Shout-Outs: Celebrations and Behind the Scenes

A special shout-out to those community members who shared in the celebration of life of a beloved St Nicholas family member; choir who took time off work to be there, and everyone else who attended to support the bereaved. And also to those who shared in the celebration of the life of an Order of St Luke member; know how much your care and compassion are appreciated.

Another shout-out to those who work hard behind the scenes to make things happen at St Nicholas: attending meetings, working on improving our finances, and doing the thankless jobs like providing refreshments, a warm welcome, and a clean worship space.

Parking on the Driveway – Concern For Others

Parking in front of St Nicholas

We are blessed with a diverse community.  What we all have in common is our human condition.  Some of our members are slowed some due to ailments and health conditions.

So, we ask that the curved driveway, especially parking spots closets to the front doors, be reserved for our community members who may need a bit more time and less sidewalk to travel for entry into the church.

Thank you, one and all.  God bless this community of St. Nicholas Church.
