Out With The Green, In With The Blue (Come Help Decorate)!

We say goodbye to the Sundays after Pentecost, (Ordinary Time) and welcome to the holy season of Advent.
Advent Wreath with Blue Advent Banners
In order to celebrate this time of year properly, we have to get the church in order. So, this Friday night, Nov. 29th, we invite one and all to come on by and help with the decorating.

We will gather around 6pm and get all the green banners down and put up the blue banners and curtains; drain the baptismal font, set up the St. Nicholas Table and put up a few decorations in Holy Innocents Hall for our Support Groups to enjoy.

Pizza will be provided and if you’d like to bring some beverage of “cheer,” feel free to do so! All are welcome.

Thanks in advance and God bless one and all.

Trunk or Treat at St Nicholas: A Fun and Safe Halloween Last Sunday!

There were a number of national news articles covering the “Trunk or Treat” phenomenon – St Nicholas was slightly ahead of the curve because we held our Trunk or Treat event last Sunday after church.

Although your webmistress couldn’t be there, lots of St Nick’s folks were there – some in costume – with cars decorated to welcome little goblins and ghouls in search of treats with no tricks.

Douglas VanHouten uploaded a lot of fun photos to the St Nicholas Webpage, including Father Manny in the pumpkin patch:
