(editor’s note: the theme of the parade was “Sports and Recreation” so Paul signed us up to participate with a float under both “fishing” and “sailing.” As one of the recent Gospel readings was the story of Jesus telling the fishermen to cast their net from their boat, we thought this was pretty clever of him).
On Sunday afternoon, our choir ventured into the world of recording, and put music to mic as they recorded some pieces for a CD. Many thanks to Mary Fletcher-Gomez, for her tireless dedication as director and accompanist. Thanks also to our wonderful audio engineer, Gary Yek, of Electric Garyland Studios. As we celebrate Father’s Day in June, let’s dedicate the entire month to all our Dads. Please, consider bringing a framed photo of your Dad to proudly display within our worship space. In our Memorials, let us give thanks and gratitude to God, our Creator, for all good gifts that have been given to us, God’s children.
